Le Diplomate is a French restaurant and bistro in Washington.

The place is ideal for business Lunches or brunches with business partners and also for a romantic dating or family dinner.

In the menu traditional French cuisine: French onion soup "Bouillabaisse", of course French pastries, from aroma which awakens your appetite, there is the dessert menu. As drinks there are French wines from different regions.

The institution is open late, but the table is better to reserve in advance, even for a few weeks. The prices here are high as in the premium restaurants.

The Burger Americain is made with two slim, seared patties tucked into a golden bun baked in-house, draped with American cheese and topped with a few tart pickles, plus its own mystery sauce.

Stephen Starr's first entry into the D.C. market excels at classic dishes like steak frites and skate, as well as some interesting twists like foie gras mousse. [Eater 38 Member]

Starving or exploding, the Dark Chocolate Napoléon is beyond imperial. Definitely the best thing that happened to France since the Revolution.
