Villa Borghese Gardens

It is a public landscape garden in the English manner, which history began in 1605, containing a number of buildings, museums and other attractions. Villa Borghese Gardens is the third largest public park in Rome with an area of 80 hectares. The park was redeveloped many times.

Just above piazza del popolo the park is a wonderful reprive from the bustle of rome and the heat as well. Great views over the city and lots of little corners to explore. Great for a picnic. read full review

    На территории есть кинотеатр под открытым небом, памятники Пушкину и Гоголю. И отличнейший вид на пьяца дель Пополо. А - и пушечное ядро в фонтане возле виллы Медичи.

    If you want to see the Borghese Museum you MUST make a reservation, even if you have Roma Pass.

    Use the metro entrance at via Veneto to get to the Spanish steps keeps you in the shade plus there are escalators and walkways to save walking uphill or downhill

    A beautiful place to relax while having supper or lunch. I recommend entering drom the Piazza del Popolo and climbing the stairs towards the back of the Piazza. This brings u up to a spectular view.

    Don't leave Rome before visiting this amazing park. You need to have a map in order not to be lost. And also, you have a chance to discover the city on the top.
