The arch with three archways was erected in 312 to commemorate Constantine's victory over Maxentius. It is the latest of the three existing triumphal arches in Rome. The arch is 21 m high, 25.9 m wide and 7.4 m deep. It spans the Via Triumphalis, the way taken by Constantine when he entered the city in triumph. A staircase is formed in the thickness of the arch. Works of restoration were carried out on repeated occasions.
Address: Via San Gregorio, Rome
