It is a palace in the Renaissance style, which was built in the XIX century, and was commissioned so as to give a seat to the Jesuit Collegio Romano. It features one of the most world important museum collections. The Palace consists of 4 floors, where sculptures, coins, mosaics, gold work dating back to the II century BC - the V century AD are presented. Palazzo Massimo was converted into a museum in 1981 in order to preserve the ancient Roman artifacts, which were discovered from the excavations.
