Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre - Theatre-Club in New York, located in the former "Maverick" Theater.
This improvised theater, club and training center at the same time. It was opened in 2003 by like-minded colleagues. Ticket price is very democratic. It ranges from $5 to $10, which is quite small for New York. Not only theatrical performances, but also improvisations and stand-up shows are being staged here. The theater has a bar, which sells beer and wine.
At the same time the theater is a training center and it is the only one in New York. It is a school of comedy, where you can learn to comprehend the basics of improvisation and comedy.

UCBT is the best place to laugh at funny people before they end up on TV. Nearly every sitcom on NBC’s Thursday-night lineup features performers who honed their craft at the Chelsea venue.

Yet another good reason to hang out in grocery store basements! I think you're all well aware of the others.

Adam McKay, co-founder of Funny or Die (a 2011 Most Innovative Company), was also a founding member of this comedy club, whose alumni include Amy Poehler, Rachel Dratch, and Jack McBrayer.

I heard a rumor that one guy here knows someone who has a fully formed testicle on his shoulder

I mean I'm all for Roo Roo, but don't let Mike call you an idiot, you guys. I certainly wouldn't call you an idiot. But then that's just me, at School Night, every Wednesday at 11.
