Crash the Set!
Go behind the scenes of your favorite TV shows on the NBC Studio Tour
The NBC Studio Tour has been a premier attraction in New York City since 1933. The tour provides a behind the scenes look at television production in the heart of Midtown Manhattan.
On your journey through 30 Rockefeller Plaza, two NBC Pages will serve you as ambassadors to the world of television. Each tour begins with a screening of the History of Television in the private NBC Sharp Globe Theatre. This high-definition short film highlights classic clips of television milestones from the past to the present and gives you a glimpse of what the future of television might hold. Then it's off to the studios to visit where some of today's most popular television shows are created and produced; such as Saturday Night Live, The Today Show, Dr. Oz, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Nightly News with Brian Williams, Football Night in America, and MSNBC. Peer into the hub of NBC's worldwide media distribution at the always active Broadcast Operations Center, the heartbeat of the operation.
The tour’s next stop is the Studio Make-up Room, where visitors can view a special effects and prosthetics demonstration from our award winning artists. After learning everything there is to know about television, you will be ready to star in your very own show. Volunteer to read the news or give a weather demonstration in the High Definition Mini-control Studio.
