Minetta Tavern - is a famous tavern-pub in New York.
Minetta Tavern was opened in Greenwich Village in 1937. This tavern is one of the oldest venues in New York. It is always crowded and throughout its existence various celebrities: Ernest Hemingway, Ezra Pound, Eugene O'Neill had visited this place. Even today, when visiting the tavern a celebrity can be seen. Having been there, you will plunge yourself into a unique ambience: loud noises, delicious food, tables close to each other. We advise to reserve a table few days in advance or you are risking not getting there because of the line.

The lighting has a very inviting effect... almost like you've stepped back in time and are eating in the 20's. The food is good... however, all the raving about the Black Label Burger proved not to... read full review

Paying $26 for a burger is easy to scoff at, unless it’s the legendary Black Label Burger at this restored Village relic which once served luminaries like Hemingway and Cummings. (RC & CP)

Though it’s not quite the same as it was when F. Scott Fitzgerald hung out here (along with contemporaries like Ernest Hemingway), you can soak in the old-timey ambience—assuming you can get a table.

Go to Minetta Tavern for the black label burger, it's so good you won't even touch the fries.

  • Travel Channel, 15-11-2011

Anthony Bourdain believes they serve the best burger in New York City, but “getting in is a challenge – try early or late.”

  • Village Voice, 07-11-2011

The Minetta Burger – juicy and topped with aged cheddar is worth the wait at this Greenwhich Village legend.
