Brooklyn Bridge Park

In the middle of 20 century when the US industrial zone finally moved inland, huge areas of once industrial New York were abandoned. Several of these zones in Manhattan have been converted into parks and recreation areas and Brooklyn followed their example in 2010.
Brooklyn Bridge Park of 34 hectares is on both sides from old wooden pier near the Brooklyn Bridge. In the western part is an open green area of the park with rides and a beach. To the east of the pier there is a part of the park which is under construction with the piers and a boardwalk.
Address: Main St., New York
