A nightclub in the Bowery in Manhattan was built in 1929, shortly before the Great Depression, and that is why it remained virtually abandoned until the end of World War II. After it was over a shop opened, which worked for some time and only in 1997 in Bowery Ballroom, a concert hall for 550 seats was opened. Today and almost every day the performances of independent and alternative musicians are taking place.
