National Opera House of Ukraine

National Opera House of Ukraine is an all-Ukrainian opera and ballet pride in the heart of the capital.
Formerly, the building was a common city theatre, and after the fire, the City Council had announced the international competition to design a new building for the Opera Theatre in Kyiv. The winning proposal was by Victor Schröter. The interior was redesigned in a classical style.
The solemn opening of the new premise of the theatre took place in September 1901 and later the building hosted many events.
Today, it is a 1304-seat theatre with an area of 60 thousand square metres, 100 musicians work together in its orchestra pit.
